Sidekick currently has a pressing need for volunteer help in media and public relations, marketing, fundraising and web site work. Opportunities as challenging as you are prepared to take on.

FRONT-OF-HOUSE VOLUNTEERS

Ushers
Ushers are required to hand out programs, assist audience members to their seats, to be on-duty throughout the performance seating latecomers, assisting audience members as required, and to perform other similar functions. Ushers must be able to respond calmly and efficiently in the event of an emergency.
Candidates must be personable, polite, well-groomed and dressed in a business-like manner.

Ticket Takers
Ticket Takers are responsible for greeting audience members, checking tickets for the appropriate performance, removing ticket stubs and providing security against the admittance of on-ticket holders. Candidates must be personable, polite, well-groomed and dress in a business-like manner.

TECHNICAL SUPPORT VOLUNTEERS

Costumes - opportunities as challenging as you are prepared to take on.

Set Construction
There is a broad range of opportunities for volunteers to assist in a variety of stage construction projects.

Load In / Load Out Helpers
Often the busiest times onstage with most productions are the initial Load-In and Set-Up, prior to a series of performances and the final Strike and Load-Out following the last performance. In addition to the need for Light, Rigging and Set Construction Assistants, many volunteers are generally required to simply hold things in place while being attached or disassembled and to assist with the systematic unloading or loading of the client's trucks.

Backstage Assistants
Considerable opportunity exists for Backstage assistants, from being part of occasional prepatory work sessions to being a volunteer crew member in actual rehearsal - performance situations.
